Set in the stunning Worcestershire countryside, on the land of our family-run Willow Marsh Fishery. The Willow & Boar was purpose built by the family to welcome all, anglers and members of the public alike. From design to creation, over 10 short months, The Willow & Boar was built and opened for the first time in May 2021. At present we are serving breakfast, light lunches, snacks and a myriad of hot and cold beverages, including alcohol.
We aim to provide good quality, home cooked food and great service to all who visit by adopting an authentic and genuine approach. Our mission is to do it once and get it right, always endeavouring to ensure the customer can enjoy the experience we have to offer.

As our onsite cafe ‘The Willow and Boar’ has been growing ever popular, we are grateful to be busier than ever. With this in mind, we advise all visitors to make reservations with us. Particularly over the weekends and for larger parties. Catering for walk-ins on mass is incredibly difficult and unfortunately occasionally involves disappointment as we cannot gauge how busy the cafe will be. We certainly do not like turning people away either, but sometimes we are so busy we don’t have the option. We will still be accepting walk-in bookings, but do strongly advise and prefer reservations to be made in advance.
Whether you are walking, cycling or travelling by car to us, we appreciate your understanding that our new service hours operate as follows:
Monday - Thursday closed (except bank holidays)
Friday - Sunday 8am - 1pm
Last orders for food 30 minutes before close.

We no longer permit dogs, aside from assistance dogs, on the site for dog walking or otherwise
Since the opening of the cafe in 2021 on the site of our established family owned fishery, we have seen the number of people visiting for a range of purposes increase.
We have tried to include bringing dogs to site as we are dog lovers and the setting is beautiful in a rural location.
We have had to stop people walking around in general (especially with dogs) last year due to this disturbing the anglers including potentially damaging the costly equipment used by them.
The occasional visitor would also leave dog mess on the route around the fishery, which is unsanitary and disrespectful. We had been promoting bringing well behaved dogs on a lead to sit outside on the new patio area; However once again the minority have spoilt this by allowing dogs to urinate around the picnic tables and some making so much noise that it disturbs other people enjoying the peace and tranquility that the site offers.
It’s been a tough decision however we sadly no longer allow bringing dogs to site. You are welcome to stretch your legs around the perimeter of the fishery without your dog, staying well back from the lakes at all times, especially when anglers are on the pegs pleasure fishing. When matches are in progress there will be no walking around permitted at all, fishing is a competitive sport and this can greatly disturb and sabotage the competitions. If you are unsure of anything, please ask a member of staff. We will continue to support bringing assistance dogs to site, including for training purposes.
